Key Features Carrier 59TP6

ECM blower motor

This highly-efficient blower motor has a variable-speed function. This function improves the overall comfort level of the room. This motor allows the furnace to distribute heat evenly across the room.

Secondary heat exchanger

The secondary heat exchanger is a must-have feature in all furnaces. This feature cuts the energy consumption of the furnace, thus reducing your electricity bills. Moreover, it enhances fuel performance with little energy.

Two-stage operation

The two-stage operation of this furnace makes it highly efficient. It increases its AFUE rating and makes it ideal for rebates. The higher the AFUE rating, the better the performance.

Noise-free operation

This furnace heats your room without making a lot of noise, unlike other models. You can rest assured knowing that the heat distribution is always consistent with this furnace. Most heavy-duty furnaces can not help but make noise while functioning.

SmartEvap™ technology

The last thing anyone wants in the winter season is humidity. This furnace heats your room without making it all humid. The SmartEvap™ technology prevents humidity from accumulating in your furnace, thus protecting the coils from bacteria and damage.

Insulated Cabinet

This feature ensures to reduce the air leaks and heat loss.

Hybrid Heat

Due to its compatibility with Hybrid Heat, this furnace can operate on a dual fuel option when combined with a heat pump and thermostat. Thus, it switches between gas and electricity to give you the most cost-effective performance.

Other Significant Features

  • The internal components stay protected, thanks to the heavy-gauge steel cabinet.
  • The hot surface ignition feature reduces fuel waste and enhances reliability.
  • When paired with a thermostat, it can switch between various fan speeds during a constant ON setting.
  • The aluminized-steel primary heat exchanger increases its durability.
  • With the correct humidifier, this furnace provides year-long moisture management.

Warranty

The heat exchanger of the Performance 96 – 59TP6 has a limited lifetime warranty, and the parts have a 10-year limited warranty. This carrier model has a standard warranty package. However, if you register this item within 90 days of installation, you get the full warranty. Unregistered furnaces have short warranty periods on parts and heat exchangers.
